BEYOND THE REALMS BOOK 1 TIME TO FLY

BEYOND THE REALMS

BOOK 1

TIME TO FLY

“Have you ever considered the price of a minute of your life? If not, let`s do it now! We are sipping our coffee in our soft armchair slightly irritated of the coming working day. At this very moment, someone is praying to live a little longer to simply breathe, enjoy life or a cup of hot coffee once more. Somewhere, someone is about to commit a suicide because of unemployment incapable of bringing home the bacon. Someone is dreaming of something to eat unable to afford a piece of bread once a day having no idea what a wonderful drink coffee is.

We are complaining on the old furniture in our house when someone would die to have a roof above his or her head. A loud music from our neighbor`s house makes us angry, but do we know how people are living in Syria or Iraq? Would you exchange the noise next door for the thunder of the gunshot and bombs? Are you angry with your children because they don`t listen to you? Are you aware of the number of the people who would give all their wealth to have one?

Moreover, now within this minute, one of the caterpillars is turning into a butterfly, or more of them. Remember our talk about nothing. Our life consists of billions of nothing. Coincidentally, that nothing happened in my life either. It occurred as suddenly as the thunder. You will find out what a caterpillar has to do with my story later. Now, let`s talk about the thunder.

“Zara Clayton? ” -someone knocks on my door. “Would you mind if I come in?”

“Can I?” -I ask myself. Until I turn round my interrupter is standing beaming at me.

“Well! How are you feeling today?” -she asks taking some notes in her thick notebook.

“Like dead!” -I reply with the first thing that came into my mind.

“Oh?” -she stops writing for a second and raises her eyes to me. “How do you know what it feels like to be dead?” -she asks continuing to write anew. The question takes me aback.

“I just have no other association with this situation.” -I respond trying to sound saner.

“What are you doing here?” -she suddenly asks staring into my eyes.

“This is where you keep the mad people.” -I say calmly...
